Dell, Navicure, Conifer Health to exhibit at HFN's Virtual Conference & Expo

By Chris Anderson

The Healthcare Finance News Virtual Conference & Expo opens today and continues tomorrow. While there is no shortage of valuable sessions, dropping in on just presentations without stopping by the exhibition hall may limit your ability to get all you can from the event.

The exhibit hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDT today.

Among the exhibitors on hand:

Dell
Staffed by Tom Mitchell, market segment manager for Dell’s healthcare services segment, this booth will offer a heavy dose of the company's revenue cycle transformation offerings.

“Our primary services are centered around revenue cycle projects, which include AR cleanup projects,” said Mitchell. “We will go in and work with hospitals to test where they may be having payment classification issues or aging AR.”

Dell will present information on its large-scale IS conversion projects, in which company officials work with hospitals to wind down legacy systems over the course of 90 days while bringing an upgraded system online. The company will also highlight services for patient access and patient eligibility for government payers.

Navicure
Internet-based medical claims clearinghouse Navicure will offer a Flip camcorder give-away to help lure people to its booth. Once there, visitors will find a heavy emphasis on education about the company and its offerings.

“There may be people visiting who aren’t necessarily in the market for a clearinghouse right now, but hopefully they will see that we have resources that are of value,” said Carrie Sjogren, senior marketing manager.

For education, attendees can download a white paper or view a webinar with information about 5010 or the upcoming ICD-10 conversion. Additional white papers will focus on such topics as how to chose a good electronic health record, EHR implementation and how to choose a medical claims clearinghouse.

Conifer Health
Conifer Health plans to feature its revenue cycle solutions as a springboard to wider discussions with attendees about how CFOs can maximize yield.

“Conifer believes that fiscal health is better understood when yield is measured rather than through industry-standard KPIs such as aged receivables, cash as a percentage of net revenue, etc., alone,” said Tricia Wilkerson, senior marketing specialist. “We’re offering research in revenue cycle initiatives that maximize yield based on an enterprise health system’s actual results.”

Conifer will also be distributing charity gift cards to booth visitors. The cards allow the recipient to contribute to a charity of choice by “spending” the pre-donated amount. This is part of Conifer’s effort to provide healthcare industry professionals with the ability to collectively contribute $10,000 to charitable organizations this year.

“We think it’s a tangible way to demonstrate the importance of an integrated mission and margin – something every hospital strives to achieve,” Wilkerson said.
