TUPELO, MS - Officials at a North Mississippi Health Services announced today they would begin implementation of a Web-based platform to improve financial outcomes across facilities.
The clinics will implement Eclipsys’ Sunrise Patient Financial platform, a patient billing and receivables management solution, to streamline billing processes, maximize reimbursements and improve cash flow and patient satisfaction.
North Mississippi Health Services, headquartered in Tupelo, is a regional healthcare organization serving 22 counties in north Mississippi and northwest Alabama.
"Sunrise Patient Financials is a modern platform that easily integrates with other systems to help us achieve operational excellence in our financial management," said T.E. Bozeman, vice president of information systems and CIO, NMHS.
The platform will be the key to providing all of NMHS’ facilities with a single-point of entry for corporate- and hospital-level information.
Electronic data interchange and Web capabilities will permit NMHS to extend financial workflows to payers as well as the patients. A follow-up tool will allow for staff resolution of errors, omissions and mismatched information in the revenue cycle as well as claims-editing capabilities.
"Eclipsys' revenue cycle management solution will help us improve our financial outcomes by optimizing financial workflows across our organization while improving our patients' experience by providing them greater visibility into the status of bills and claims," Bozeman said.
