Vendor Notebook: Premier Purchasing Partners announces new agreement

Premier Purchasing Partners, based in Charlotte, N.C., has announced a new agreement for waste management products and services with Trinova Medical Waste Solutions of Corona, Calif.

McKesson, based in Atlanta, has announced that Advanced Pain Centers, a Festus, Mo.-based pain management physician group, has selected McKesson’s Practice Complete for physician billing, coding and reporting services.

RemitDATA, a Dallas-based provider of reimbursement, use data and comparative analytics, has announced a RemitPARTNER program agreement with TransUnion Healthcare, a Chicago-based provider of data and analytics solutions designed to empower providers and payers to make meaningful decisions at the point of need. The agreement will give TransUnion customers access to RemitDATA’s TITAN reimbursement and utilization platform.

Omnicell, a Mountain View, Calif.-based developer of medication management solutions, has announced that the Saint Francis Health System in Oklahoma will deploy a variety of medication management and supply management solutions at its five acute-care hospitals, including OmniRx automated medication dispensing cabinets, Anywhere RN and SinglePointe software solutions and the Optiflex supply solution.

The CGI Group, a Fairfax, Va.-based provider of IT and business process services, has announced that the company’s contract for claims validation with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield has been renewed for five years. Under the contract, CGI will continue to provide claims audit services to identify provider overpayments and coding errors on claims submitted from providers in Pennsylvania.

The Axolotl Corporation of San Jose, Calif., has announced that two of the company’s electronic health record systems, version 7 of the Axolotl EHR and Elysium EHR Lite, have received Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT-Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) 2011/2012 certification in accordance with eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Department of Health and Human Services.

CompuGroup Medical, based in Boston, has announced that the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology has approved the company’s HealthPort EHR version 10 as a pre-market conditionally CCHIT certified 2011 ambulatory EHR.

Citizens Financial Group and MasterCard Worldwide have announced an agreement to offer MasterCard inControl to Citizens’ commercial card customers, giving business owners the ability to set spending controls on cards issued to employers and receive real-time information about their accounts.

The Capsalus Corporation, an Atlanta-based public holding company operating in the health, wellness and goodness space, has acquired Guava Franchising, Inc., and its parent company, Guava Healthcare, a Hockessin, Del.-based provider of customized in-home, non-medical and medical staffing and services.
