The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) announced Friday this year’s winners of the MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle. Seventeen organizations received the honor.
HFMA’s MAP Award for High Performance in Revenue Cycle recognizes healthcare organizations that demonstrate excellence across all the MAP Key indicators of revenue cycle performance. Winners show innovative and effective revenue cycle practices that deliver sustainable financial performance. More than 160 organizations downloaded the application for this year’s award.
“Winners of the MAP Award for High Performance demonstrate leading revenue cycle practices that set the bar for the industry and, ultimately, enable better patient care,” said Richard L. Clarke, HFMA President and CEO, in a press release announcing the winners.
Bill Farrell, vice president of finance at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and a 2012 MAP Award for High Performance winner, added, “Building a best practice process environment, improving staff skills, and creating a culture of consensus helps achieve our full potential for improved patient satisfaction and, as a result, positive financial performance.”
