Some federal healthcare stimulus news from the trenches:
A dozen community health centers in Arkansas will share $3,090,457 in federal stimulus money.
Twenty-nine Michigan health centers will receive $8.6 million in federal grants.
A combination of state and federal dollars will help pay for more than 300 new nursing assistants in long-term care facilities in all 36 Oregon counties. The state will use $10 million from the federal stimulus package recently enacted by Congress and $4 million in state money to help pay for the increased care facility staffing.
Healthcare stimulus funds are trickling into Ohio. The state is slated to receive $9.9 million for Disproportionate Share Hospitals and $3.7 million for senior nutrition programs.
