Catholic Health East will automate its revenue cycle management system in an effort to improve financial performance throughout its 16 acute care facilities.
Catholic Health East will use Orlando, Fla-based Craneware's Chargemaster toolkit suite of products to manage the charge description master for each acute care facility both centrally and locally.
Craneware will also provide the facilities with automatic updates for coding regulations and changes, optimization for charge-capture performance, and more accurate billing for facility-dispended medications.
"Craneware will help us design and implement a sustainable CDM maintenance process that is automated and will better support our ministry hospitals," said Peter DeAngelis, Jr., chief financial officer for Catholic Health East. "It will promote a clear understanding of accountabilities across all stakeholders within the Catholic Health East system."
Catholic Health East will also utilize the Craneware Business Solutions Group services to develop system standard, policies and procedures to assure consistent charge capture, billing and pricing methods across the enterprise and ensure that the software is implemented in a way that results in the maximum benefits from each application.
"We are honored that a prestigious system like Catholic Health East has placed such a high level of confidence in our ability to achieve accurate reimbursement, support compliance, and bring efficiencies to their daily operations," said Jim Wilson, president of Craneware, Inc.
