Data: Two decades of managed care acquisitions by top insurance companies

Anthem wants Cigna. Humana is courting a buyer. It seems major insurers have the consolidation bug right now. However, according to merger and acquisition trackers Irving Levin Acssociates, consolidation of managed care businesses has been steady going back to 1994.
