The Duke University Health System has selected a vendor to provide its hospitals with a new revenue cycle claims management solution.
The contract names the Mobile, Ala.-based SSI Group, Inc., as the primary supplier of claims management products, including but not limited to ClickON LinX, a product that features the functionality of posting back billing information to the host HIS system.
The product includes a set of model options for such things as claims status, bill date posting and more than 100 separate 837 data components.
ClickON LinX was designed and tested over the past year by SSI and Siemens Healthcare and features the ability to post back corrected claim and billing information directly into the Siemens INVISION and UNITY HIS systems.
"SSI began this journey just one year ago at the HIMSS 2008 conference with Siemens, our HIS vendor," said Cecelia Moore, chief operating officer of patient revenue management organization at the Duke University Health System. "Both organizations have come a long way in that time. This innovation will change the way hospitals do business. We are looking forward to an exciting relationship with SSI and Siemens."
Bobby Smith, president and CEO of SSI, said the health system sees the benefit and cost savings in having their billing process and their HIS system in sync.
"This product will generate substantial cost savings in each of their hospital billing and financial services sectors," said Smith.
