Hammes boasts $2 billion in completed healthcare construction projects for 2016

Completed projects totaled 4.3 million square feet, a 35 percent increase over 2015, company said.

Healthcare building strategies company Hammes completed projects totaling 4.3 million square feet valued at more than $2 billion in 2016, the company announced this week.

The 2016 numbers are a 41 percent increase in dollar value, and a 35 percent increase in square footage over 2015.

A notable project included Centegra Hospital-Huntley, a new, $230 million, 128-bed hospital located on the existing Centegra Health Campus in Chicago's northwest suburbs.

At least one survey ranked Hammes the nation's leading healthcare developer in 2017. Headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin, the company advises, implements and manages key strategies and solutions that build up high-performing organizations.

Hammes President and CEO Chris Kay said in a statement that the outfit is looking forward to another year "of providing our valued clientele with continued successful and strategic healthcare development."
