With the healthcare industry undergoing major changes, it makes sense that keynote presentations at next week's HFMA National Institute conference all have an eye to the future.

The event kicks off Monday in Orlando, Florida.

Author Dan Heath, whose books include Switch: How to Change When Change is Hard and Made to Stick: Why Some Ideas Survive and Others Die, is expected to start the conference off with advice on overcoming obstacles, something the healthcare industry has plenty of. Heath speaks on Monday.

Tuesday's keynote speaker continues the tone, but turns the focus more specifically on healthcare. Healthcare futurist Ian Morrison will discuss how he envisions healthcare will look in 2025. Much of his themes tie into the future of how value and quality are driving the business.

Then, on Thursday, ChangeLabs founder Peter Sheahan will close out the conference with a presentation on leading through periods of change.

While the keynotes seem broad, the HFMA's ANI conference is best known for its focus on meaty financial issues affecting the healthcare industry, which is clear in the dozens of sessions scheduled for the four-day event. Representatives from major hospitals, consulting firms, vendors and government will tackle topics like navigating the capital markets, creating revenue with accountable care, predictive analytics and revenue cycle.
