HFMA's ANI heads to Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – The Healthcare Financial Management Association’s premier educational and networking event, the Annual National Institute (ANI): The Healthcare Finance Conference, kicks off June 23-26 in Las Vegas, where healthcare financial professionals will gather at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.    

This year’s keynote speakers include:  

• Tom Peters – The best selling author and business management consultant will speak on how to achieve excellence through leadership in the healthcare arena;

• Richard J. Umbdenstock – The American Hospital Association President and CEO will speak on issues defining the healthcare policy environment in the election year;

• James Carville and Mary Matalin – Democratic political consultant and television commentator Carville and Matalin, his Republican counterpart, will speak on the healthcare policy environment during this election year as well as offering a behind-the-scenes look at Washington politics; and

• Steve Case – Case, the Revolution Health Group Chairman and CEO will discuss his vision of the consumer’s role in healthcare transformation, why he founded Revolution Health and what impact he believes pricing transparency will have on the healthcare industry.

 

Attendees can also choose from more than 80 educational sessions providing tools, tips, techniques and strategies on issues such as compliance/legislation, CFO issues/strategic business, finance, account operations and result, patient financial services/revenue cycle and reimbursement/managed care.  

Featured sessions will include: What’s Next in Medicare, RACs, Policy, Tax and Legal; Accounting, Audit, and Tax-Exempt Issues; Physician Relationships and Compensation Models; and Medicare, Managed Care and Revenue Strategies.

“The tax exempt issues and RAC’s will be huge,” said David Opon, Strategic Communications Manager with HFMA. “And anything to do with pricing and communication will also be on people’s radar.”  

Last year’s ANI attendance topped out at 4,500; similar numbers are expected this year.

Next year HFMA: ANI will be held June 14-17, in Seattle, Wash.
