Employment search website Indeed.com has revealed their picks for Best Hospitals to work for in 2017. The list of 25 winners is topped by Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, the teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School, and also includes two nonprofits in the top three: Baptist Health South Florida and Houston Methodist.
Montefiore Medical School, the teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York, ranked fourth. In fact, an overall trend in the results shows teaching hospitals making a strong showing throughout the top 10 rankings.

Indeed's data science team examined the 15 million employee reviews in their database to come up with the results. Indeed assessed only hospitals and health systems that had garnered at least 50 reviews between July 2015 and June 2017.
According to Indeed's Senior Vice President Paul D'Arcy, results showed the key common ground among top-ranked hospitals was an "inspiring" and "diverse" workplace with "top tier research teams and opportunities for advancement," D'Arcy said.

Indeed said the increased demand for healthcare services, especially among baby boomers, coupled with a looming shortage of both physicians and nurses means the "employment outlook is bright" for healthcare providers.
"With rapid growth in demand for nurses and doctors, and a much slower growth in supply, many professionals with these highly technical skills are finding the job market to be in their favor," D'Arcy said.
