Fred Savelsbergh has been named chief financial officer of Baylor Scott & White Health, the newly formed parent company for the combined health systems of Scott & White Healthcare and Baylor Health Care System. As CFO, Savelsbergh oversees all financial strategy, functions and transactions for the new entity. Savelsbergh previously served as CFO of Baylor Health Care System.

Humana Inc. has appointed Brian A. Kane as senior vice president and chief financial officer effective June 2014.

Garry M. Olney is the new vice president and chief operating officer for Seton Medical Center Austin, in Austin, Texas, the largest hospital in the Seton Healthcare system. Olney has been COO for Austin Regional Clinic since 2010.

Doug Strong, CEO of the University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers, in Ann Arbor, Mich., has been named interim CFO of the university. Strong previously served as associate vice president for health system finance and strategy and CFO of U-M Hospitals and Health Centers.

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization has named John Mastrojohn, III as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the organization.
