Promotions, hires and fires for the week ending March 28, 2014

L. Gil Cottle has joined Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton in Hamilton, N.J., as chief financial officer and senior vice president. Cottle had been CFO at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.

Glens Falls Hospital in Glen Falls, N.Y., has hired Mitchell Amado as senior vice president and chief financial officer. Amado was most recently CFO of the Greater Hudson Valley Health System in Middletown, N.Y.

Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (LabCorp) has appointed Glenn A. Eisenberg as executive vice president and chief financial officer.

John Workman, the chief executive officer of long-term care pharmacy provider Omnicare, announced that he will retire from his position and the company’s board by Dec. 31, 2014. Nitin Sahney, the company’s president and chief operating officer, has been named Workman’s successor.

Javier Rodriguez is moving from president to CEO of DaVita Healthcare’s Kidney Care Division. Kent Thiry will remain CEO of DaVita Healthcare Partners, as well as co-chairman of the board.
