On the move: New hires, appointments and promotions in healthcare finance

Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, MD, has joined Carrick Capital Partners, LLC, as a special adviser to the investment firm according to a Dec. 8 statement.  

Frist, a 12-year Tennessee congressman, is a heart and lung transplant surgeon who served on the Health and Finance committee during the 2003 passage of the Medicare Modernization Act. The firm said his comprehension of healthcare policy, the depth of his knowledge and his valuable insights to the evolving healthcare landscape will be valuable assets to Carrick Partners, LLC.

Tina Ehrig has joined Atlanta-based North Highland, a global management consulting firm, as vice president of strategy with a focus on the healthcare industry. Ehrig will be based in Nashville, Tennessee, and drive North Highland’s national healthcare clients.

Payment automation and reimbursement provider, PaySpan, Inc., recently announced that Sandip Mohapatra has joined the company as its new chief technology officer. Mohapatra brings more than 20 years of experience in business operations, technology management and product development with him to the Atlanta-based company.
