Odyssey HealthCare, a large national hospice care provider, has signed a multi-year agreement to implement Web-based revenue cycle management technology at its facilities in 30 states.
The Dallas, Texas-based organization, which operates 89 facilities, has been looking to improve business office efficiency and ensure reimbursement integrity, according to CFO Dirk Allison.
"We hope to realize additional financial improvement and optimize cash flow along with increased visibility into our revenue cycle functions," said Allison.
Odyssey selected RCM technology from Atlanta-based MedAssets. Odyssey will employ MedAssets' claims management product suite, as well as its denial management and receivables management solutions.
Odyssey HealthCare is one of the largest providers of hospice care in the United States in terms of both average daily patient census and number of locations.
