The Oklahoma Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics has signed a new five-year purchasing agreement with Amerinet, Inc., a national healthcare group purchasing organization.

"This is an excellent opportunity for our members to save money on vaccines and supplies while also helping to improve the health and safety of children," said J. Hendricks, MD, president of the OKAAP. "Amerinet has built an exemplary reputation working with similar organizations and we look forward to engaging their expertise in working on our initiatives."

The agreement offers the 400 chapter members access to Amerinet's full suite of spend management services and tools focused on helping facilities enhance economic value through operational improvements and reduce cost through contracting and utilization strategies.

"Pediatric care is an important priority for Amerinet," said R.J. McNaughton, Amerinet's executive vice president of sales. "We are proud to partner with the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics to advance care for children in the state."

The Oklahoma chapter is an affiliate of the American Academy of Pediatrics and works with the national organization to further their policies at the state and local level.

A national group purchasing organization, Amerinet works with healthcare providers to reduce costs and improve quality using tools like their Total Spend Management solutions and operational performance improvement programs, tools and services.
