Orlando Health, a not-for-profit network of hospitals and care centers in central Florida, has upgraded its financial and compliance technology in preparation for Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) audits.
The $1.5 billion healthcare organization intends to proactively monitor financial and clinical compliance risk areas to optimize and manage the audit process. The health system plans to streamline the reporting process for its inpatient hospitals and a growing number of physician practices.
Orlando Health uses business office technology from Emeryville, Calif.-based MedeAnalytics. The health system will upgrade that technology to include MedeAnalytics' Quality and Compliance Analytics.
MedeAnalytics specializes in healthcare analytics technology focused on the areas of revenue cycle, regulatory compliance, finance and accounting.
"We have worked closely over the past year to develop QCA and are pleased to see the solution come to fruition," said Orlando Health Chief Operating Officer Thomas Yoesle.
MedeAnalytics CEO Mike Gallagher said the QCA solution incorporates business rules that will allow Orlando Health to proactively manage financial and clinical compliance risks.
Orlando Health is a statutory teaching hospital system that operates both specialty and community hospitals. They include Orlando Regional Medical Center, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies.
