National Health Partners, Inc., a provider of discount healthcare membership programs, and the Polish National Alliance, the largest ethnically-based fraternal insurance society in the United States, have entered into an agreement in which the PNA will be offering National Health Partners' CARExpress health discount programs to its members.
Headquartered in Chicago, the PNA has more than 230,000 members located throughout the United States. It offers life insurance, annuity products and fraternal benefits as well as full range of life insurance products, including permanent and term insurance, single premium insurance and universal life insurance.
The PNA markets these products and benefits to its members through its own internal sales force and home office staff, an external network of approximately 500 licensed insurance brokers and a variety of newspapers that it publishes and provides to its members.
Under the agreement, the PNA will use these resources to offer CARExpress health discount programs to its 65,000 households.
"We are very pleased to have entered into an agreement with National Health Partners," said Paul Odrobina, vice president of the Polish National Alliance. "As the cost of healthcare continues to skyrocket, programs like CARExpress present a very compelling alternative to traditional health insurance at a fraction of the price. I am glad that we will have the opportunity to offer these innovative programs to our members and look forward to working with National Health Partners as we continue to grow."
Headquartered in Horsham, Pa., National Health Partners provides discount healthcare membership programs to uninsured and underinsured people. Its national healthcare savings network, CARExpress, is one of the largest networks of hospitals, doctors, dentists, pharmacists and other healthcare providers in the country and is comprised of more than 1 million medical professionals that belong to such PPOs as CareMark and Aetna. The company's primary target customer group is the 47 million Americans who have no health insurance; its secondary target customer group includes the 61 million Americans who lack complete health insurance coverage.
"I believe that (PNA's) members will find our CARExpress programs to be a very complementary addition to the portfolio of benefits currently offered by the PNA. We expect to generate a substantial number of new members through the PNA as its members learn about the many benefits of our CARExpress health discount programs," said David M. Daniels, president and chief executive officer of National Health Partners.
