By Healthcare Finance Staff

Seventy-seven percent of payers expect a changing relationship with pharmaceutical companies, with 48 percent calling for pharmas to take a more active role in supporting payer managed care (DM, MU, adherence) programs according to a July 2010 poll by The Gantry Group, LLC.

A significant percentage of payers (nearly 30 percent) believe new, closer relationships where risk is shared by both parties is likely. Results based on a poll of 160 payer executives.

How do you expect the relationships between payers and pharmaceutical companies to evolve over the next few years?
