Poll: Value-based Insurance Design most likely to improve disease management

Forty-nine percent of payers questioned believe that Value-Based Insurance Design is the most effective way to improve the performance of Disease Management (DM) and Wellness programs. This, according to a late summer poll  conducted by the Gantry Group LLC in conjunction with Healthcare Payer News.



The related area of Value-Based Reimbursement was seen as an effective means of DM by 45 percent of respondents, while more than one-third of respondents said Patient-Centered Medical Homes are expected to provide positive impacts on DM and Wellness Programs.
