RSNA Ventures, the Radiological Society of North America's recently launched innovation arm, has partnered with RadAI, a generative artificial intelligence company, to advance its radiology and imaging technologies.

Imaging volumes are rising faster than the workforce can grow, said RSNA, while the body of medical knowledge grows exponentially.

That, the company said, makes it increasingly challenging for many physicians to meet the needs of daily practice, placing mounting pressure on radiologists.

The partnership will attempt to address this challenge by piping the company’s peer-reviewed knowledge base into radiologists’ daily workflow.

“This partnership aims to solve a critical challenge for radiologists – leveraging AI to optimize workflows to improve patient care,” said Sr. Adam E. Flanders, RSNA Board liaison for information technology. “Through this alliance, RSNA Ventures will deliver RSNA’s peer-reviewed content into Rad AI's solutions already in use across leading U.S. radiology practices and health systems, ensuring that this innovation is trusted and practical.”

Instead of relying on memory or manual searches, case-based insights can be automatically surfaced, helping radiologists manage growing workloads while maintaining high care standards, the company said.

“Radiologists have always been pioneers in adopting technology,” said Dr. Jeff Chang, co-founder and chief product officer, Rad AI. “This partnership with RSNA Ventures gives radiologists an unprecedented advantage, bringing case-based insights directly into their workflow in real time, allowing them to stay focused on image interpretation.”
