A group of Democratic senators on Monday sent a letter to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission asking the agency to investigate the stock trading activities of U.S. Rep Tom Price, Donald Trump's choice to lead the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services.
"Recent disclosures about Rep. Price's financial dealings raise serious questions about potential STOCK Act violations, illegal insider trading and other conflicts of interest," wrote Senate members from the Committee on Health, Labor, Education and Pensions that included Sens. Al Franken, Elizabeth Warren, Sheldon Whitehouse and Bernie Sanders.
Price faces questions and a confirmation vote from the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday.
