Portico Systems, a Philadelphia-based developer of Integrated Provider Management (IPM) solutions, has launched a blog dedicated to the healthcare payer community. Portico Pulse is designed to address and debate important healthcare issues, its creators say, including healthcare reform, administrative and medical cost containment, changes in provider reimbursement methods and collaboration. “Executives at health insurance plans are confronted with challenges including reducing cost, increasing care and managing their vast networks,” said Ned Moore, Portico’s CEO and co-founder. “With these challenges comes great interest in IPM and ways to optimize provider relationships. Now, payers have a reliable resource that exclusively focuses on the challenges they’re facing, trends in the industry and the value of IPM.”
