MPV automates processes for 3 medical groups
Medical Present Value, Inc. of Austin, Texas has added three academic medical groups to its list of customers seeking to automate payer contract management processes. Signing contracts with MPV are University of Washington Physicians, a Seattle-based group with 700 providers; the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, a Columbia, S.C.-based group with 200 providers; and University of Texas Medicine, San Antonio, with 800 providers. MPV will model the groups’ payer contracts into its Phynance application, creating a database of client-specific contract terms, fee schedules and payment policies.
ConnectYourCare, Workscape develop CDH platform
ConnectYourCare, a Hunt Valley, Md.-based Consumer-Directed Healthcare account platform provider, is joing forces with Workscape, a Marlborough, Mass.-based provider of outsourced benefits and talent management programs, to offer an integrated CDH benefits platform. Under terms of the partnership, Workscape will incorporate ConnectYourCare’s CDH administration technology into its exisiting benefits platform. The solution will enable large employers to use health plans for claims processing while providing plan participants with added tools for health service-related point-of-purchase options.
HealthEdge updates claims processing software
HealthEdge, of Burlington, Mass., has unveiled HealthRules Payor 3.0. The update to the company’s claims processing software features an end-to-end, integrated solution for managing and processing consumer-directed health plans. Company officials say HealthRules Payor 3.0 will enable payers to quickly and easily create CDHP offerings, adjudicate claims in real-time and improve the customer experience with up-to-date cost and quality information.
3M releases comprehensive pricing assurance
3M Health Information Systems of Salt Lake City has released Comprehensive Pricing Assurance. Company officials say the new consulting solution is designed to “achieve an accurate and compliant chargemaster, improve the overall charge process and build a defensible pricing structure across the entire organization.” The software includes a line-by-line review of coding, charging and other issues, ongoing checks with 3M consultants and an analysis of pricing methodologies, mark-up formulas and payer mix.
