EZ-CAP, managed.care.com form new partnership
EZ-CAP, the flagship product of Longwood, Fla.-based MZI Healthcare, LLC, a provider of health plan administration software, has formed a partnership with ManagedCare.com, which provides development, management and operational reporting and analysis for more than 80 IPAs, PHOs and other managed care organizations. The alliance is designed to enable managed care organizations to customize benchmark data through the EZ-CAP platform to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Passport health inks deal with database solutions
Passport Health Communications, Inc. of Franklin, Tenn. has entered into an agreement with Database Solutions, Inc. to give its more than 4,000 hospital, physician practice and other healthcare provider clients access to DSI’s AccuReg registration quality improvement technology. The partnership allows DSI to expand its breadth of offerings to providers to include Passport’s patient insurance eligibility verification, medical necessity compliance, financial products and other services. “We consider AccuReg to be the premier registration software on the market, so it makes sense for us to partner with a company like Passport,” said Paul Shorrosh, DSI’s president.
Trizetto group debuts version 4.51 of facets
The TriZetto Group, Inc. of Newport Beach, Calif. has released Facets 4.51, the newest version of the company’s enterprise-wide core administration software, designed to help healthcare payers improve productivity, enhance service and enable growth. The Facets system is already in use in 79 health insurance companies, including 18 Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. The Facets product is part of TriZetto’s suite of core administration systems that help payers execute core administration functions, including claims processing, premium billing and customer service.
DocSite selected by CMS for two pilot tests
DocSite, a Raleigh, N.C.-based provider of Web-based patient registries and point-of-care decision support, has announced that it has been selected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a participant in pilot tests of methods for electronically reporting measurement data for the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). The two CMS pilots, which will take place during this calendar year, will separately evaluate patient registries and electronic health records as tools to facilitate physician reporting under PQRI.
