Passport health joins forces with eSolutions
Passport Health Communications of Franklin, Tenn., has formed a business partnership with eSolutions, Inc., in which Passport will provide its patient insurance eligibility data and services to be resold to eSolutions’ physician practice and other healthcare provider clients. Data will be available through the eSolutions Web-based portal, allowing clients to receive more information beyond specialty Medicare and Medicaid claims management. “Healthcare providers are realizing the need to better manage financial and administrative functions at the front and back end,” said Passport Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Jeff Drake.
Broadlane signs contract with Hospital Partners, Inc.
Broadlane, based in Dallas, has been named the exclusive provider of supply chain and procurement services for Legacy Hospital Partners, Inc., of Plano, Texas. The deal allows LHP to access Broadlane’s national GPO portfolio of consumable supplies, equipment, pharmaceuticals and purchased services for its owned and managed hospitals. In addition, LHP will use Broadlane’s OnRamp client portal and Procurement Services, in particular the company’s Transaction Management software suite, to improve procurement-related operations and expenses.
Home Care Delivered launches PayerPro system
Home Care Delivered, Inc., a Richmond, Va.-based provider of billable home medical supplies through mail order, has launched the PayerPro System, a proprietary payer management system designed to enhance the speed and accuracy of patient medical supply orders. Company officials say the new software allows a company’s customer service representatives to process orders quickly and accurately and instantly inform patients of the type and amount of products they can receive based on physician orders and insurance coverage.
Metavante to provide software to CareFx
Metavante, a Milwaukee-based provider of banking and payments technology, has announced that CareFx has chosen the company to be its single-source provider of integrated benefits administration and payment software, as well as benefit debit card solutions. CareFx, based in Prince Frederick, Md., offers benefit plan consulting and administrative services to employers and benefit plan sponsors. Previously, CareFlex used only Metavante’s benefit debit card technology, which interfaced to its former administration software solution.
