Fair Isaac Corp. introduces new SCDM solution

The Fair Isaac Corporation of Minneapolis has unveiled a new State Compliance Decision Manager solution, designed to help pharmaceutical firms meet regulatory compliance demands through more effective reporting and managing of multiple types of promotional spending across an organization. The solution allows firms to provide comprehensive and accurate reporting on commercial or “aggregate” spending associated with healthcare professionals and associations, including dinner meetings, “lunch and learns” and medical gifts, to support current legislative requirements, including OIG and PhRMA guidelines.

Emergis, infoway agree to Canada distribution plan

Montreal-based Emergis, Inc. has concluded a Preferred Solution Agreement with Canada Health Infoway for its Assure EHR Drug Information System (DIS) solution. The three-year Canada-wide agreement includes competitive pricing and conditions designed to accelerate Infoway’s program to support the implementation of interoperable electronic health records (EHRs) across the country by governments and publicly funded healthcare organizations.


shiftwise saves money for oakwood healthcare

ShiftWise, a Portland, Ore.-based provider of online staffing management services, has announced that the Oakwood Healthcare System, covering 35 communities around Detroit with four acute-care hospitals and 38 ambulatory facilities, is using the service to manage its internal supplemental contingency pool and external staffing services. ShiftWise officials said Oakwood, with as many as 9,800 employees, used to be handled by 20 different staffing agencies. They say the health system saved $1.2 million in 2006 through this consolidation.

enclarity secures $10M  for new expansion

Enclarity, Inc. of Aliso Viejo, Calif. has secured $10 million in Series B funding. The investment was led by Bain Capital Ventures and was joined by Ignition Partners, which had provided original funding to the company. The company offers ProviderPoint, a Web-enabled software-as-a-service solution that uses advanced analytics and proprietary technology, combined with a referential database and telephone verification, to clean provider files, assuring the data is accurate and current. It will use the new funding to continue expansion plans.
