Southeast Georgia Health System has named Janice Dunn as its new vice president and chief financial officer. She replaces Michael D. Scherneck, who was appointment president and CEO in August 2015, but has continued to serve as CFO in the interim.

Dunn will take the helm of the system's financial strategy, bringing with her 27 years of healthcare financial management experience. Her areas of responsibilities will include: admissions, finance, information systems, medical records, patient financial services, reimbursement, resource management, revenue cycle and supply chain, the system said in a statement.

"At both hospitals, she implemented growth strategies through the implementation of strategic performance improvement plans," Southeast Georgia Health said.
