Vendor Notebook - Allscripts-Misys and Edge Health team on EHR software

Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions of Chicago has announced that Edge Health Solutions, Inc., of Richmond, B.C., Canada, has signed a definitive, multi-million-dollar agreement to resell the Allscripts Electronic Health Record as “EdgeEHR Powered by Allscripts” to 1,000 physicians and dentists now using practice management software on the Mac OS X platform. In addition, the company has announced that Pee Dee Cardiology Associates has selected Allscripts Professional Electronic Health Record and Practice Management for its 16 clinicians in the Pee Dee River region of South Carolina.

Epocrates has announced that, through its partnership with Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., the retailer’s list of up to 350 prescriptions on its $4 generic drug program will now be accessible to physicians using an Epocrates clinical decision support product online or via a mobile device.

Medical Present Value, Inc., of Austin, Texas, has announced that its Contract Management Web-based application will be implemented at University Physicians Healthcare in Tucson, Ariz., the CHW Medical Foundation, based in Sacramento, Calif., and the University of Illinois Chicago multispecialty group.  In addition, the Medical College of Wisconsin, Inc. of Milwaukee, Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas, and Covenant Medial Group in Lubbock, Texas, have contracted with MPV to implement MPV Eligibility.

Longitude Health, based in Somerset, N.J., has announced that the Georgia Department of Human Services’ Division of Public Health has chosen to implement the company’s MyHealthVillage.com health and wellness program for the department’s Mobile Worksite Program.

Sunquest Information Systems of Tucson, Ariz., has announced that the new Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) hospital in Goodyear, Ariz., has successfully implemented the Sunquest Laboratory Information System and Sunquest Collection Manager solutions.

Picis, Inc., of Wakefield, Mass., has announced the signing of business agreements for Picis ED PulseCheck – as well as the Picis LYNX revenue management solution in many cases – with Alegent Health in Nebraska and Iowa, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center in Washington, Palisades Medical Center in New Jersey, Physician’s Choice Hospital in Ohio and St. Rose Hospital in California. In addition, the Inova Health System in Fairfax, Va., has extended its use of Picis software to several facilities.
