Vendor Notebook - Infotech Global to merge with Infinity Capital

Infotech Global, Inc., a Piscataway, N.J.-based bio-informatics technology firm whose ORBIT portfolio includes payer, member and provider portals, wellness management, electronic data capture and electronic medical records, has signed a merger and investment term sheet with Infinity Capital Group, Inc., a business development company and public reverse mortgage investor.

SXC Health Solutions of Lisle, Ill. has announced that its pharmacy benefit management division, informedRx, has signed a five-year agreement with the Health Plan of San Mateo, a San Francisco-based provider of healthcare benefits to 59,000 members.

LYNX Medical Systems, a subsidiary of Picis, has announced the implementation of its E/Point Emergency Department facility charging application at all three Scottsdale Healthcare hospitals in Arizona.

Passport Health Communications, Inc. of Franklin, Tenn. has announced a strategic partnership with the SelfPay Company, LLC, a Chicago-based provider of charity care assessment and segmentation through its iSolutions product and batch eligibility data mining through its eRevolution Payer Search product. Passport’s insurance eligibility verification services will integrate SelfPay data to identify additional possible coverage and aid.

Emdeon, a Nashville, Tenn.-based provider of revenue and payment cycle management solutions for the healthcare industry, has been named the electronic data interchange (EDI) provider for Maryland hospitals by the Maryland Hospital Association.

IncentOne has been selected by MVP Health Care, a not-for-profit health insurer with more than 700,000 subscribers in New York, to provide the “WellStyle Extras” option to MVP and Preferred Care health plan members. InCentOne will provide an online solution where members can receive incentives they earn in the form of checks or gift cards from leading national retailers.

Metavante, a Milwaukee-based provider of banking and benefits technology, has announced that The Bancorp Bank has been added as a an integrated health savings account custodian option in the company’s suite of healthcare benefit account payments solutions.

Tri-anim Health Services, Inc., a provider of e-commerce specialty sales and distribution solutions for healthcare, has signed an agreement with Premier, which serves more than 2,000 hospitals and 53,000-plus other healthcare sites, for specialty distribution of respiratory therapy and anesthesia products.

Expeditive, a Princeton, N.J.-based provider of interim revenue cycle staffing, has forged an alliance with Halcyon Search Solutions, a specialized healthcare recruitment firm.

Aspyra, based in Calabasas, Calif., has announced plans to offer customers volume-based pricing for its AccessNET PACS and AccessRAD RIS/PACS solutions during the upcoming RSNA 2008 Annual Meeting at the end of the month in Chicago.

The Comprehensive Care Corp. of Tampa, Fla. has signed a letter of agreement, worth about $1 million in annual revenues, to manage behavioral health and provide ancillary services for a managed care organization in Puerto Rico.

NaviMedix, based in Cambridge, Mass., has announced that the AmeriHealth Mercy family of companies, the largest Medicaid managed care organization in the United States, will replace its Web-based provider communications solutions used by six AmeriHealth Mercy health plans with NaviNet.
