Atlanta-based MedAssets has formed a vendor management program designed to help hospitals fully develop and implement vendor policies. The program, developed and launched by the company's Spend Management segment and managed by the Aspen Healthcare Metrics business unit, will also help address regulatory demands by providing vendor credentialing services offered by REPtrax.

Medical Present Value, Inc. of Austin, Texas has announced deals with Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates of Newton, Mass. and the WellSpan Medical Group of York, Pa. to provide MPV Phynance to improve payer contract management processes and audit reimbursement.

The MediNotes Corporation, a West Des Moines, Iowa-based provider of electronic health record systems, is partnering with Akamai Practice Management, LLC, a practice management and reimbursement service provider for independent physicians in Hawaii, to expand MediNotes' EHR presence in Hawaii. In addition, the two companies have become fully participating members in the Hawaii Medical Service Association Initiative for Innovation and Quality.

VitalCare Technology Enterprises, a Carson City, Nev.-based provider of administrative, marketing, business development, strategic planning, clinical oversight and clinical management services to the diabetes healthcare sector, has been acquired by Diversified Acquisitions, Inc. of Nevada.

Medversant Technologies, LLC of Los Angeles has launched HRSource, a Web-based human resources platform designed to allow administrators to view each employee "at a glance," continuously monitoring professional licenses and certifications and generating a digital, Web-based employee record.

 

Wayne, Pa.-based SunGard has announced that the SunGard Transaction Network's trading and connectivity solutions are now available to corporate treasurers and asset managers in the United Kingdom, following STN's recent approval by the Financial Services Authority as an authorized U.K. broker.

API Software, a Hartford, Wis.-based provider of labor resource management software solutions, has acquired ENEPCS (Expert Nurse Estimation Patient Classification System), an automated system designed to measure clinical workload and provide the number of hours and skill mix required to meet patient needs.

MedAptus, a Boston-based provider of point-of-care charge capture technologies, has announced that the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is implementing the company's Facility Charge Capture and Infusion Services Module solutions. The two will be added to MedAptus' Professional Charge Capture technology platform, which M.D. Anderson has used since 2005.

EDS, of Plano, Texas, has announced the five-year renewal of a contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona for the MetaVance Administration and Finance System.

HTP, Inc. has announced a two-year agreement with HANYS Solutions, a subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of New York State, to market HTP's RevRunner revenue cycle management software to healthcare facilities in New York.
