Vendor Notebook: MedQuist enters agreement with Artificial Medical Intelligence

MedQuist, a Mount Laurel, N.J.-based developer of clinical documentation solutions, has announced an agreement with healthcare informatics software developer Artificial Medical Intelligence, Inc., to provide computer-assisted coding within MedQuist’s CodeRunner coding workflow platform. AMI’s Powered by EMscribe technology includes comprehensive inpatient and outpatient natural language processing to provide ICD-9-CM, CPT and E&M coding conventions, as well as the platform framework for ICD-10 in the future.

Apollo Data Technologies, a Chicago-based provider of predictive analytics solutions for healthcare providers, has been selected by the Washington-based MultiCare Health System to implement its Charge Recovery Solution, designed to capture revenue leakage from missing charges and improve coding compliance.
