Vendor Notebook - MphasiS/Eldorado joins NavigatorMD on health plan design

MphasiS Healthcare Solutions/Eldorado of Phoenix has announced a partnership with NavigatorMD to use claims data from HEALTHpac and Javelina to improve health plan design and management.

Patient Access Solutions, Inc., a Hauppauge, N.Y.-based provider of healthcare and financial processing solutions for the healthcare, homecare and dental industries, has announced plans to expand into the retail/manufacturing industries.

Nashville, Tenn.-based nTelagent, Inc. and Social Service Coordinators, Inc. have announced a partnership to combine nTelagent’s Self-Pay Management System (SPMS) with SSC’s programs helping individuals enroll in federal, state and local social service benefit programs.

Emergent Medical Associates, a Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based provider of physician staffing and practice management services, has finalized the purchase of a majority interest in Language Access Network, LLC, a Los Angeles-based provider of on-demand language interpretation services through video and audio conferencing in hospitals and other healthcare venues.

Cross Country Healthcare, Inc. of Boca Raton, Fla. has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of privately held MDA Holdings, Inc. and its subsidiaries for $112.3 million in cash, plus additional earn-out payments. MDA, based in Norcross, Ga., provides multi-specialty locum tenens (physician) and allied staffing services to the healthcare industry.

WorldDoc, Inc. of Las Vegas and D2Hawkeye, Inc.  of Waltham, Mass. have announced a collaboration to integrate D2Hawkeye’s clinical rules to predict individual and aggregate risk within a population with WorldDoc’s consumer care management systems, allowing for earlier identification of medical care gaps for those with access to WorldDoc’s systems.

Sun Microsystems has announced plans to move to an indirect sales model in the United States for all but about 300 of its largest customers, a step designed to boost flagging revenues. Customers not listed among the top 300 will be switched to a reseller partner in the coming months.

ikaSystems has extended its relationship with Passport Health Plan to use the company’s ikaProHEDIS+ and ikaP4P analysis and reporting systems.
