Vendor Notebook - MRO launches Document Management Solutions group

The MRO Corporation, a King of Prussia, Pa.-based developer of shared-service release-of-information and audit-tracking solutions for healthcare providers, has launched its Document Management Solutions group, which offers Chart Online, Filing Cabinet Online and Business Documents Online.

NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, Inc., of Horsham, Pa., has announced that the Piedmont Medical Care Corporation, the administrative arm of the non-cardiology physician practice entities of Statesville, N.C.-based Piedmont Healthcare, has purchased an additional 230 “bundled” electronic health record (EHR) and enterprise practice management (EPM) software licenses. Piedmont has used NextGen EPM since 2000 and NextGen EHR since 2004 and also deploys the company’s NextMD patient portal.

Gemino Healthcare Finance of Philadelphia has announced that it has provided EnduraCare Acute Care Services of Mobile, Ala., with credit facilities totaling $6.5 million, consisting of a $4 million revolving line of credit and a $2.5 million term loan.

Portico Systems, a Philadelphia-based developer of integrated provider management solutions, has announced that MMM Holdings, Inc., a subsidiary of Aveta, Inc., has selected the company to provide hosted IPM solutions to manage Medicare Advantage plans in Puerto Rico.

Navicure, an Atlanta-based medical claims clearinghouse for physician practices, has announced that Heartland Orthopedic Specialists and Fond du Lac Human Services, both based in Minnesota, have selected the company’s account receivables management solutions to improve claims management and increase profitability.

ProSperus, a Mequon, Wis.-based provider of practice management solutions, and the Genesis Physicians Group, a Dallas-based independent physicians association, have announced the launch of GenPro Practice Management Solutions, which will offer revenue cycle management solutions and other services designed to help physicians capitalize on federal stimulus incentives for electronic medical record implementation.

The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC), based in Farmington, Conn., has announced the availability of its Outsourced Services Accreditation Program (OSAP), designed for vendors who perform outsourcing functions.

Quest Diagnostics, based in Madison, N.J., has announced a six-month trial of its Care360 ePrescribing service, a Surescripts-certified solution designed to allow physicians to access formulary information, act upon Food and Drug Administration (FDA) alerts, handle refills, send and print prescriptions and take advantage of incentives offered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The company also announced that physicians can gain access to this service from their Apple iPhone or iPod Touch using Care360 Mobile.

Eldorado Computing, Inc., a Phoenix, Ariz.-based provider of health benefit and claims management platforms, has announced an agreement with WellDyneRx, Inc., a national pharmacy benefits management (PBM) company, to integrate Eldorado’s Javelina browser-based claims and benefit management platform with WellDyne’s PBM services.

EDIMS, LLC, a Livingston, N.J.-based provider of interoperable emergency department information management systems for hospitals, has announced that LibertyHealth, a two-hospital system in northern New Jersey, has launched the company’s nursing documentation and charge capture systems. The system adopted EDIMS’ computerized physician order entry (CPOE) and physician documentation module last March.

Database Solutions, Inc., of Mobile, Ala., has signed an agreement with Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Georgia to implement the company’s AccuReg registration audit and reporting software.
 

 

The Datawatch Corporation of Chelmsford, Mass., has unveiled Datawatch Dashboards, a next-generation business intelligence tool designed to give all levels of users visual insight into operational performance as well as the ability to graphically monitor specific business processes and events.

GE Healthcare, based in Barrington, Ill., has announced that Community Hospital South in Indianapolis has gone live with the GE Centricity Enterprise 6.1 and Monitored Care clinical, financial and administrative solution.

ZeOmega, LLC, a Frisco, Texas-based provider of software solutions for collaborative care management, has announced that Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Massachusetts has selected the company’s Jiva integrated care management solution.

The e-LYNXX Corporation of Chambersburg, Pa., has been awarded a contract by the Altoona Regional Health System in Altoona, Pa., to enhance its print procurement process.

Cobius Healthcare Solutions of Northbrook, Ill., has announced that Cobius Audit Manager, the company’s audit management solution, has achieved platinum-level integration certification status from Executive Health Resources, a provider of medical necessity compliance and denials management solutions.

InMage, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based developer of disk-based business application recovery solutions, has launched version 5.1 in its InMage Scout software platform.

Premier Logic, an Atlanta-based application development and consulting company, has announced the launch of a new brand that will focus on process-intensive applications for healthcare and financial services.

Perot Systems, based in Plano, Texas, has announced that the West Georgia Health System, base din LaGrange, Ga., will be using the company’s revenue cycle management technology. The company has also announced that it is being acquired by Dell, based in Round Rock, Texas.

M2SYS Technology, an Atlanta-based developer of biometric technology solutions, has donated its fingerprint identification system to Bwindi Community Hospital in Uganda as part of the company’s efforts to support global healthcare.

MAG Softwrx, Inc., a Denver-based developer of time tracking solutions, has released Timeless Time & Expense 3.0, a new version of its time tracking software that is designed to help companies account for the time and money spent on each task, project and client.

Internet Payment Exchange (IPayX), based in Toledo, Ohio, has announced an alliance with Ventura, Calif.-based Accelerated Revenue Management Solutions to offer clients soft collection capabilities through IPayX’s eInvoice Delivery Service SM and eCareview Healthcare Billing Portal.
