The QuadraMed Corp. of Reston, Va. has announced that Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas has gone live enterprise-wide with QuadraMed's Revenue Cycle and Identity Management solutions.

MedAssist Holding, Inc. a Louisville, Ky.-based provider of outsourced revenue cycle management services to the healthcare industry, has been sold by Roundtable Healthcare Partners, which acquired a majority stake in the company in 2004, to FirstSource Solutions, Ltd., a listed business process outsourcing company based in Mumbai, India.

InVentiv Health, Inc. of Somerset, N.J. has launched a fourth business segment, inventive Patient Outcomes, which is focused on helping pharmaceutical companies and healthcare payers "achieve the best possible medical outcomes for patients."

Arcadia Resources, Inc., a Southfield, Mich.-based developer of consumer healthcare services, has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Arcadia Products, Inc., has obtained a three-year revolving line of credit with a maximum borrowing amount of $5 million from the Presidential Healthcare Credit Corporation of Atlanta. The money will be used for working capital needs and general corporate purposes.

Benefitfocus, of Charleston, S.C., has announced that CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield has selected the company's eEnrollment software technology to automate the mid-market and small group enrollment process for its members in northern Virginia, the District of Columbia and Maryland.

The Health Benefits Direct Corporation, a Radnor, Pa.-based provider of technology for the direct marketing and distribution of health and life insurance and related products, has closed on the acquisition of Atiam Technologies, a provider of Web-based insurance administration software applications that support individual insurance products, for $3 million in cash and stock.

Jopari Solutions, Inc., a California-based supplier of e-billing and payment solutions for the insurance industry, has contracted with the Texas Mutual Insurance Company to launch an electronic billing system for healthcare providers beginning Jan. 1, 2008.

Ingenious Med, an Atlanta-based provider of inpatient and mobile practice management solutions, has announced new strategic partnerships with three billing companies: Doctors Resource Specialists of Phoenix, Ariz.; Diablo Medical Billing, Inc. of Brentwood, Calif.; and Healthcare Business Resources, Inc. of Durham, N.C.

Empyrean Benefit Solutions, Inc. of Houston has announced that it has added more than 20 new health insurance carriers and 100 medical and ancillary plans, including some health insurance plans that are guaranteed issue, to its benefit management solution for employers and associations.

The CorVel Corporation of Irvine, Calif., a provider of workers' compensation claims management services, has announced the addition of more than 150,000 facility and provider locations to its CorCare Preferred Provider Network effective Nov. 1, 2007. The new provider network additions are the result of a partnership with Integrated Health Plan of St. Petersburg, Fla.

The Acceleware Corporation, a Calgary-based developer of special purpose software/hardware acceleration products, has announced that it intends to complete a non-brokered private placement of 2,409,699 common shares to the Investors Group Mergers & Acquisitions Fund at a price of 83 cents per common share, for gross proceeds of $2,000,050. Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes and to increase working capital.

EZ-CAP, the Valencia, Calif.-based flagship product of MZI Healthcare, LLC, a provider of health plan administration software, has announced a partnership with Ascender Software, LLC, which markets healthcare data management solutions.

OneOncology, Inc., an Orlando, Fla.-based drug procurement solutions provider, has announced that it will hold its first live electronic negotiation event on Tuesday, Dec. 11, allowing qualified distributors to bid on more than $1 billion in committed annual drug purchases from hundreds of U.S. community oncologists.

San Diego-based medical billing and practice management software system provider CPU Medical Management Systems has announced that it has added six new customers to its MED/FM client base during the third quarter of 2007. CPU landed five deals for its Web-enabled practice management system, Web MED/FM, and one for its stand-alone practice management system, MED/FM.

TCS Healthcare Technologies, an Auburn, Calif.-based provider of software and clinical solutions to improve medical management performance and effectiveness, has entered into a strategic alliance with Schooner Healthcare Services, LLC to help market TCS' Acuity Advanced Care System.

Medical Present Value, Inc. of Austin, Texas has announced that it has finalized a 10-year contract with the Riverside Medical Clinic, a 115-physician, multi-specialty physician group based in southern California, to allow the clinic to use MPV's Web-based technology and contract definition services to automate manual processes, identify payment variances and evaluate contract performance.

URAC has announced that the following organizations have successfully earned its Pharmacy Benefit Management Accreditation, the first voluntary accreditation developed for the industry: Aetna, Caremark Rx, Envision Rx Options, Express Scripts, Humana, Medco Health Solutions, Navitus Health Solutions, PerformRx, Prescription Solutions and Prime Therapeutics. In addition, Catalyst Rx and US Script are in process for PBM accreditation and Aetna, Caremark Rx, Catalyst Rx and Prescription Solutions have achieved URAC Drug Therapy Management accreditation.
