Vendor Notebook - Owens & Minor to sell supply business for $63M

Owens & Minor, of Richmond, Va., has signed a definitive agreement to sell is direct-to-consumer diabetes supply business to the Liberty Healthcare Group, Inc. for $63 million in cash.

Patient Placement Systems of Atlanta has announced that the Park Avenue Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Arlington, Mass. has signed on to use PatientPlacement.com, the company’s Web-based Referral Management System long-term care software, to manage inbound patient referrals. In addition, the company has added an instant insurance verification tool to PatientPlacement.com.

SXC Health Solutions, a Lisle, Ill.-based developer of technology and pharmacy benefit management services, has announced that its healthcare IT business group has been awarded a three-year, multi-million dollar contract to provide its long-term care claims adjudication and RCM technology and consulting services to the Pharmerica Corporation of Louisville, Ky.
