Vendor Notebook - PivotLink closes $10M round of venture capitalism

PivotLink, a San Francisco-based provider of on-demand business intelligence software, has closed a $10 million round of venture capital funding. The company's BI products have been implemented in several industries, including healthcare.

The VISTX Corporation, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based provider of business performance improvement services, has announced a partnership with the InnoVest Group, LC, a McLean, Va.-based management consulting and professional services firm, to provide enterprise project management, organizational development and business process improvement tools, practices and resources to InnoVest customers.

Guidewire Software of San Mateo, Calif., has announced that Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance of Columbia, Mo., the state's largest workers' compensation insurer, has deployed Guidewire ClaimCenter as its new claims management system.

Siemens Global Innovation Partners of Palo Alto, Calif., has announced that it is halfway to its targeted $200 million venture capital fund of funds, to be invested worldwide with a focus on the energy, industry and healthcare sectors.

Allscripts-Misys Healthcare Solutions of Chicago has announced plans to sell its Medication Services business. In addition, the company is initiating a $150 million share buy-back program, to take place over the next 24 months, and an extension of its existing $75 million credit line with JPMorgan Chase to $125 million with the added participation of Fifth Third Bank.

Bloodhound Technologies of Durham, N.C., has unveiled ConVergence Point, its new claims editing platform that's designed to offer real-time, pre-adjudication claims editing based on open sourced claims edits.

, a Westport, Conn.-based developer of bid management software, has reported an 88 percent increase in revenues in 2008 compared to the same period in 2007. 

Xpert-Design Software, based in Germany, has released version 1.6 of its Xpert-Timer application, which is designed to record how much time employees spend on each project.

ClaimTrust, Inc., a provider of revenue cycle tools and services for hospitals, has moved its corporate headquarters from Davie, Fla., to Murfreesboro, Tenn. The company will continue to maintain satellite offices in Davie and Needham, Mass.

B. Braun Medical, Inc.
of Bethlehem, Pa., has been awarded a three-year contract by Premier Purchasing Partners, LP, for hemodialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) dialysis products.
