Vendor Notebook: The Trizetto Group moves HQ to Colorado

The Trizetto Group has moved its corporate headquarters from Newport Beach, Calif., to Greenwood Village, Colo. The move was made in part to accommodate new CEO Trace Devanny, the former president of the Cerner Corporation, who takes over for Jeff Margolis. Margolis, who founded the company, has become chairman of the firm.

RoundTable Healthcare Partners, a Lake Forest, Ill.-based private equity firm focused exclusively on the healthcare industry, has agreed to sell one of its portfolio companies, Bioniche Pharma Holdings Limited, an Ireland-based specialty sterile injectable pharmaceutical company, to Mylan, Inc., a global generic and specialty pharmaceutical company, for $550 million in cash.

Revenue Cycle Partners, a Montana-based provider of business process outsourcing services for hospitals and healthcare systems, has chosen Stamford, Conn.-based Pitney Bowes, Inc., to provide customized mailing solutions to help ensure HIPAA compliance for hospital clients.

GE Capital, Healthcare Financial Services, based in Bethesda, Md., has provided a $3.2 million credit facility to Tepha, Inc., a Lexington, Mass.-based developer of medical devices.

A.D.A.M., Inc., an Atlanta-based provider of health information and benefits technology solutions, has announced the latest release of the Benergy Enrollment Reporting Suite, incorporating the Izenda Reports, designed to offer richer, more flexible reporting capabilities.

DCS, a Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, has signed a five-year deal with Seattle-based Milliman Care Guidelines. Through the deal, DCS will use the company’s content and software to review Medicare claims in 12 Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic states and districts.

HealthFusion, a California-based provider of practice automation and revenue cycle management solutions for healthcare providers and billing services, has announced a partnership with the American Osteopathic Association, which will introduce the company’s MediTouch electronic health record to its more than 41,000 physician members looking to implement EHRs in their practices.

Henry Schein Medical Systems, a Boardman, Ohio-based provider of practice management and electronic medical records systems, has become a participating vendor in the AmericanEHR Partners Program, an interactive online tool developed by the American College of Physicians and Cientis Technologies that’s designed to enable physicians to compare EHRs and identify which best suits their needs.

The Markel Corporation, based in Richmond, Va., and Aspen Holdings, doing business as FirstComp, have entered into an agreement for the acquisition by Markel of Aspen, an Omaha, Neb.-based, privately held insurance group that provides workers’ compensation insurance and related services, principally to small businesses, in 31 states.

MedFORCE Technologies, Inc., a Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.-based provider of software solutions for the home medical equipment industry and other healthcare organizations, has announced that the company’s MedFORCE Scan document management software has received preliminary ARRA certification from the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT).

D3 Radiation Services, based in Pittsburgh, has announced that the American Board of Radiology has qualified the company’s eDataAudit service as a Practice Quality Improvement for the purpose of Maintenance of Certification.

WellCity, Inc., an Orlando, Fla.-based wellness-related social network and subsidiary of WellTek, Inc., has unveiled the network marketing platform WellCity Market.

DrTango, Inc., a Roswell, Ga.-based provider of Hispanic health and wellness content, programs, products and services, has changed its company name to HolaDoctor, a change coinciding with the company’s launch of its consumer health and wellness portal.
