Vendor Notebook - TriZetto Group unveils web applications suite

The TriZetto Group, Inc. of Newport Beach, Calif. has unveiled Constituent Web Solutions, a suite of software applications designed to provide health plans with advanced, Web-based services to enable members, providers, employers and brokers to make more informed decisions and improve the coordination of healthcare services.

InfoLogix, Inc. of Hatboro, Pa. has acquired substantially all of the assets of Delta Health Systems, Inc., a Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.-based provider of strategic cost management consulting services to hospitals across North America. In addition, the company has announced the completion of senior debt financing of up to $25 million with Hercules Technology Growth Capital, Inc.

Greencastle Consulting of Malvern, Pa. has announced that it has been selected by the Nassau Health Care Corp. of East Meadow, N.Y. to provide business process redesign services across a range of clinical, administrative and financial areas.

HealthEdge, a Burlington, Mass.-based provider of next-generation claims and benefit administration, business intelligence and portal software products for healthcare payers, has secured a $13 million investment commitment from the Psilos Group, a healthcare venture capital and private equity firm. The money will be used, officials said “to increase the size of its business and to continue to invest in advanced product capabilities.”

Broadlane, based in Dallas, has announced that Dameron Hospital in Stockton, Calif. has selected the company to provide an array of supply chain services under an exclusive agreement. In addition, Broadlane has announced that Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc., which owns and operates four hospitals in Orange County, Calif., will maintain its exclusive relationship with the company.

1800MedJobs, an Orlando, Fla.-based medical staffing company, has announced the launch of its Talent Pipeline Generation service, an online staffing solutions designed to fill healthcare vacancies.

The HSA Clearing Corp., a Lake Geneva, Wis.-based provider of turnkey Health Savings Account solutions for banks and credit unions, has added INSNET, LLC to its list of providers as an advocate to help consumers save money on their medical bills.

Proofpoint, Inc., a Sunnyvale, Calif.-based provider of unified e-mail security and data loss prevention solutions, has broadened its Proofpoint On Demand e-mail security service offerings with he availability of Proofpoint On Demand-Standard Edition, a lower-cost version designed for small- and medium-sized businesses that need spam blocking, virus protection and content filtering capabilities but not the advanced customization or data loss prevention features of Proofpoint On Demand-Standard.

Philadelphia-based Encoda has announced that Diamond Medical Management Services, LLC of Newark, Del. has chosen Encoda’s M/EDI Information Generator data warehouse and business analysis product.

Spring Medical Systems of Houston and MacPractice, Inc. have announced that a new HL7-compliant interface is now available for Spring Medical’s SpringCharts EHR and MacPractice MD practice management system. Matria Healthcare Inc.’s shareholders have given approval to the planned $900 million merger with Inverness Medical Innovations, Inc. of Waltham, Mass. The Marietta, Ga.-based provider of health enhancement programs to health plans and employers will be merged into Inverness’ Alere and Paradigm businesses to form a combined organization that focuses on the health management market.

CIGNA Senior & Retiree Services of Bloomfield, Conn. is joining forces with the National Council on Aging to make available NCOA’s BenefitsCheckUp to CIGNA’s Medicare members. The Web-based service helps identify federal, state and local benefits programs that can help enhance the quality of seniors’ lives.

PainCare Holdings, Inc., an Orlando, Fla.-based provider of pain-focused medical and surgical solutions and services, has voluntarily withdrawn its common stock from listing of the American Stock Exchange, effective on or about Thursday, May 29. The company expects that its shares will be quoted on the OTC Pink Sheets and will announce a new ticker symbol at that time.

The Netezza Corp. of Framingham, Mass. has announced that the Wisconsin-based Marshfield Clinic, one of the largest private, multi-specialty practices in the United States, has selected the company’s Performance Server appliance to power its data warehouse platform.
