Vendor Notebook - Verisk Health releases new version of risk adjustment tool

Verisk Health, Inc., a Waltham, Mass.-based developer of healthcare data analytics, has released DxCG Risk Solutions 3.0, a suite of risk adjustment and predictive modeling products designed to help healthcare organizations analyze, predict, manage and minimize healthcare risk and costs associated with commercial, Medicare and Medicaid populations.

Elsevier, a Philadelphia-based provider of healthcare publications and information and electronic health record solutions, has launched a new online resource center for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) updates and initiatives. The resource center can be accessed at Elsevier’s ClinicalDecisionSupport.com site.

Clearview Staffing Software, based in Dallas, has released clearviewTSS 7.0, with updated features designed to improve existing capabilities and further streamline processes across a healthcare staffing agency’s value chain.

Compliance 360, an Atlanta-based provider of enterprise governance, risk management and compliance solutions, has announced that Compliance 360 Claims Auditor has been designated ‘RACTrac Compatible’ for the American Hospital Association.

MedQuist, Inc., a Mount Laurel, N.J.-based developer of clinical documentation services, has unveiled SpeechQ VTB for Radiology, which leverages the company’s SpeechQ real-time interactive speech recognition application with a Web-based coding and billing platform designed to make completed radiology reports immediately available for processing. The company has also signed an agreement with Nuance Communications, based in Burlington, Mass., under which MedQuist will license Nuance’s SpeechMagic speech recognition engine and processing software for use in SpeechQ of General Medicine.

OB10, an Atlanta-based provider of e-Invoicing solutions, has announced a partnership with Dallas-based Broadlane to offer its e-Invoicing network to more than 1,000 acute care hospitals around the country in the Broadlane network.

MEDecision, a Wayne, Pa.-based developer of collaborative healthcare management solutions, has announced a collaboration with InSight One, Inc., a Chicago-based developer of enterprise archiving and disaster recovery managed services, for the cross-licensing and reselling of technology, services and intellectual property. As part of the deal, MEDecision will integrate InSight’s InDex image archiving and business continuity services with its offerings to providers and health plans.

Passport Health Communications, Inc., of Franklin, Tenn., has announced a partnership with Interface People, LP, based in Dallas, to deliver integrated patient access management solutions to hospitals using MEDITECH health information systems. The partnership will integrate Passport’s insurance eligibility verification, address verification and other patient access management services into MEDITECH’s Magic, Client Server and Focus platforms.

TelaDoc Medical Services, a Dallas-based provider of telehealth medical consults, has secured $9 million in new investments to fund its next phase of growth. The investments were led by HLM Venture Partners and healthcare specialist Cardinal Partners, along with existing investor Trident Capital.
 

American Well, a Boston-based developer of online healthcare services, has announced that Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota’s 10,000 employees and family members now have access to the company’s Online Care Anywhere platform.

, an Atlanta-based provider of informed consent and patient education systems for hospitals and physician practices, has expanded its partnership with A.D.A.M., Inc., a provider of health information and benefit technology solutions, to include A.D.A.M.’s QuickSheets patient education solution in its iMedConsent application.

eWebHealth, a Reading, Mass.-based provider of electronic workflow solutions for medical records, has announced that St. Francis Hospital in Charlestown, W.Va., will be using the company’s eWebHIM suite of technology as its complete electronic legal health record (e-LHR) solution.

Hayes Management Consulting of Newton, Mass., has announced that compliance auditors are now receiving the billing of more than 50,000 providers through MDaudit Professional compliance audit software.

BridgeHealth Medical, Inc., a Denver-based provider of medical travel services, has announced that more than 1 million lives under management by third party administrators (TPAs), employers, insurance carriers, program administrators and limited benefit plans now have access to BridgeHealth’s network of surgical Centers of Excellence.

PracticeMax, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., is now providing its Direct Service Claiming (DSC) service to 12 Arizona school districts, providing them with a Medicaid billing and claims management solution designed for schools’ special education programs.

Cadient Interactive of King of Prussia, Pa., a Cadient Group company specializing in interactive marketing services and solutions for the healthcare industry, has launched the HATCH Consulting services group, designed to guide healthcare and life sciences companies and brands through interactive strategies.
