Vendor Notebook - VHA unveils Web-based capital equipment tool

VHA, Inc. of Irving, Texas has unveiled VIEW, a new, one-step, Web-based search engine for capital equipment that is available to VHA members. The search engine is bolstered by input from Attainia, a provider of capital budgeting and equipment planning software, and MD Buyline, a provider of healthcare technology and information services.

Watertown, Mass.-based athenahealth, Inc. has announced that Suncoast Medical Clinic, LLC, of St. Petersburg, Fla. is replacing its Web-based practice management system with the company’s athenaCollector on-demand practice management and billing service.

Perceptive Software of Shawnee, Kan. developers of enterprise document management, image and workflow software, has announced that the University of Southern California Care Medical Group, Inc. in Los Angeles will deploy the company’s ImageNow product in multiple accounts payable and human resources departments across the organization.

MZI Healthcare, LLC of Valencia, Calif. and InterComponentWare, Inc. of Wayne, Pa. have announced a strategic partnership to deliver eHealth services to independent practice associations (IPAs) through use of MZI’s EZ-CAP claims adjudication product.

MDdatacor, Inc., an Atlanta-based provider of quality management services for health plans and providers, has been approved as a CMS vendor by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The company will automate the collection and submission of clinical information for CMS as part of the organizations Physician Quality Reporting Initiative for 2008.

CECity, a Pittsburgh-based developer of SaaS platforms and distribution networks, has been approved by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services as a qualified registry platform, able to submit quality data to CMS on behalf of eligible physicians and other professionals for PQRI 2008 reporting.

Aspyra, Inc., a Calabasas, Calif.-based provider of clinical and diagnostic information services, has entered into an agreement with Data Strategies, Inc., allowing Aspyra to represent DSI’s Elligence billing product line to users of Aspyra’s RIS, PACS and LIS solutions.

The combined company, iTradeNetwork (ITN), will leverage both companies’ SaaS procurement and supply chain management services as well as ITN’s Spend Intelligence products.

Longitude Health, Inc., a Somerset, N.J.-based provider of Web-based health and wellness programs for mid-sized, self-insured companies, has announced that its MyHealthVillage.com Web portal will be enhanced by the ConXus health improvement platform from Protocol Driven Healthcare, Inc.
