LifePoint Hospitals saw an increase in its continuing operations revenues for both the fourth quarter and year ending Dec. 31, 2010.
Fourth quarter results showed continuing operations revenues are up 14.3 percent to $853.3 million from $746.9 million in the same period in 2009. End-of-year results for continuing operations revenues show an increase of 10.1 percent from $2,962.7 million in 2009 to $3,262.4 million for the year ended Dec. 31, 2010.
LifePoint had a 5.5 percent decrease in its income from continuing operations for the fourth quarter, from $38.6 million for the same period last year to $36.3 million. Its year-end income from continuing operations, however, showed an 11.9 percent increase from 139.2 million last year to $155.6 million.

End-of-year net income for 2010 was $155.5 million, up from $134.1 million up in 2009. Fourth quarter net income was $36.2 million, down from $38 million for the same period last year.
In today’s fourth quarter and end-of-year announcement, LifePoint also offered 2011 estimates: net revenue will be between $3.5 and $3.6 billion; and adjusted EBITDA between $510 and $540 million.
