The new facility will be "right-sized" for pediatric services, officials say.

The new facility will compete with nearby CHI Health St. Francis, which is part of Catholic Health Initiatives.

The grant will lead to the creation of FIU-RCMI at Stempel College, which will focus on reducing substance use problems and HIV, and will work in partnership with South Florida communities.

Joint venture has already seen the opening of their first rehab hospital in Avon and the third hospital is set to open in November.

Financing for the project includes a $35 million loan from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Rural Development -- the largest awarded in the state of Wisconsin
