Kaufman Hall, a financial advisory and management consulting firm, has expanded an existing partnership with the Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas. Parkland recently upgraded to Kaufman Hall's enhanced financial management software, and also added some cost accounting and capital planning solutions to its repertoire.

Pharmacy giant CVS Health announced Thursday it has forged clinical partnerships with another four healthcare systems across the country: John Muir Health in California; University of Chicago Medical Center in Illinois; Novant Health, serving the Winston-Salem area in North Carolina; and University of Michigan Health System.

A group of the largest for-profit hospitals in the United States reported an average of 2 percent growth in organic patient volumes in the third quarter of 2015, but showed little ability to translate that growth into higher operating margins, according to a Fitch Ratings report.

Prime Healthcare Services has donated its Glendora Community Hospital to its nonprofit Prime Healthcare Foundation, the company announced Monday. The 128-bed acute care hospital, that was acquired by Prime in 2014, was given to the public charity free of any existing debt.
